Visual Reference is a podcast run by two guys, Tyler and Matt. Their podcasts airs every Tuesday and focuses on anything in the realm of movies, TV shows and games. They challenged me to design a lockup, logo, Facebook profile photo and cover photo to give the podcast an identity.
For the identity, I was inspired largely by 8-bit gaming since it is essentially the foundation of modern gaming. The 8-bit style paired with the speech bubble and pixel version of Tyler and Matt, gives the audience a clear understanding of Visual Reference's content.
TASTE OF SOUND
Taste of Sound is an up and coming YouTube channel that highlights underground artists in the Midwest. The logomark is a collaborative piece between myself and good friend Mikey Higgins.
Our solution serves as an icon that can be easily recognized as the Taste of Sound. We decided to go with a style that is funky yet modern to entice anyone interested in the future of music.
Dan's Records is a vinyl shop located in Muncie, Indiana. Previously, the shop did not have a consistent identity and had out-dated content. The owl is the focal point of the lock-up because it encompasses the owner's vision. It is a symbol of knowledge and is a reflection of the shop's atmosphere. SPOKE & SAVOR:
NOBLESVILLE BIKE INTIATIVE
Spoke & Savor is a hypothetical bicycle initiative stemmed from my passion of bicycling and being outdoors. S&S provides an outlet for all bicycle enthusiasts in Noblesville, IN, to share experiences, connect with one another and stay current on events. With Noblesville growing at a fast rate, it is the public's responsibility to be the voice representing the bicycle community. Through S&S, the community will be able to come together under one roof with hopes to make the surrounding area bicycle and pedestrian friendly.
